Utilities & permits
Who does what.
PNM serves most of the metro; parts of the East Mountains are served by Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative. Electrical permits come from the City of Albuquerque inside city limits, from the county in unincorporated areas, and from the local government or the state Construction Industries Division elsewhere. PCM handles the permits and inspections its work requires.
