Services

Residential electrical services in Albuquerque.

Maintenance, repairs and new installations for homes across Albuquerque and the surrounding area.

Troubleshooting & electrical repair

Most electrical problems don’t start all at once. They build quietly: a loose connection, an aging device, a circuit pushed past what it was built for. PCM tracks the problem to its cause, shows you what was found, and explains the repair before any work starts.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Outlet and switch repair
  • Circuit breaker repairs and replacements
  • Wiring repairs
  • Lighting repairs
  • Partial-power and dead-circuit calls

Home safety checks & upgrades

Code changes don’t send you a letter. The 2025 National Electrical Code updated rules around panel safety, ground-fault protection and smoke alarm placement, and plenty of homes are still living in an earlier decade. PCM looks at what matters, tells you what’s fine and what isn’t, and lets you decide.

  • Hardwired and smart smoke detectors
  • Replacing old hardwired smoke alarms
  • GFCI protection where water is nearby
  • Panel and breaker evaluation
  • Electrical safety walkthroughs
  • Inspection every 3 to 5 years, sooner for older homes

Lighting installation

Lighting is most of PCM’s portfolio: kitchens lit with pendants, recessed cans and under-cabinet strips, hallways with LED channels, bathrooms with new vanity lights, garages with 4-foot LED surface mounts. Add ambiance, style and security, and lower the energy bill while you’re at it.

  • Recessed (can) lighting
  • Kitchen pendant and under-cabinet lighting
  • Bathroom vanity and pendant lighting
  • LED strip and cove lighting
  • Surface-mount LED fixtures
  • Home office and home theater lighting

Ceiling fans & exhaust fans

A ceiling fan that is supported properly and running well moves air through the whole room, which matters in an Albuquerque summer. PCM installs new fans and fan-lights, adds lights to existing fans and replaces bathroom exhaust fans.

  • Ceiling fan installation
  • Fan-light and modern fan-light fixtures
  • Adding a light kit to an existing fan
  • Bathroom exhaust fans and fan-lights
  • Fan-rated boxes where needed

Whole-home surge protection

Monsoon lightning and utility switching both send surges down the line. A whole-home protection system installed at the panel helps prevent costly damage to the electronics and appliances throughout the house.

  • Whole-home electronics protection system
  • Installed at the panel
  • Pairs with point-of-use strips for sensitive gear

EV charging stations

Before a charger goes on the wall, PCM checks what your panel and service can carry, where the charger makes sense, and which setup fits the car and the way you drive.

  • Consultation and assessment
  • Charger installation
  • Customized solutions for your panel and garage

Remodel wiring & added outlets

Basic electrical remodeling covers upgrading wiring, installing energy-efficient lighting, adding outlets and modernizing switches. When running a new switch leg is next to impossible, a wireless switch can do the job without opening walls. PCM coordinates with your other contractors’ timetable.

  • Upgrading wiring
  • Adding outlets
  • Modern and smart switches
  • Wireless switches
  • Coordinating with remodel contractors

Pricing

Every home is different. So is every estimate.

No two electrical projects are identical, so PCM visits, looks at the layout and the system, and then gives a clear and honest estimate.

Free estimates on installs
New light fixture, ceiling fan or other installation? The estimate is free and upfront.
Diagnostic fee, credited
Repairs start with a diagnostic fee to find exactly what’s wrong. Go ahead with the repair and the fee is credited toward it.
Permits handled
PCM handles the permits and inspections the work requires, so it meets local code.
No surprise costs
If opening a wall turns up something unexpected, you get a conversation: what was found, the fix, and any added cost, before the work goes on.
